About our Client

Our client, based in Surrey, deals in selling used and new tires, is looking for a General Manager to join their team on Permanent full-time basis, 40 hours in a week. Apart from highly competitive salary, the position also offers sales or performance bonuses, health care benefits based on required qualifications and experience. Experience required includes a solid sales/marketing, people management, operational and finance background to develop and implement business strategies. Responsibilities

  • Checking inventory levels regularly and enhancing standard operating procedures
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with customers
  • Coordinating business operations
  • Utilizing training, development, and hands-on mentorship to assist team members in learning
  • Scheduling, hiring, and training staff
  • Resolving conflicts or issues
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and achieving performance targets
  • Ensuring that every team member has in-depth knowledge, adherence to sales practices and culture
  • Performing well in a physically demanding setting where heavy lifting and constant movement may be required during a shift
  • Ensuring good customer service

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in an Auto/Tire industry is required
  • Strong knowledge of the MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to excel in a delegation
  • Previous experience in successful marketing and/or sales of equipment
  • Must be flexible and active
  • Ability to build and maintain a collaborative and drive workforce
